East or West coast TV programming Service

FCC disallows both east and west coast feeds together. Used to be but not anymore. When you establish service using DNS DirecTV will ask if you want east or west coast. Once you choose though, you're stuck unless you cancel the service and reup. Then you can change. Makes little sense to me but that's what they said. We are registered in the Central Time Zone but have the West Coast feed, (cuz that's what DW wanted). It sux if you're traveling on the East Coast when all the shows start at 11PM...we ended up getting another DVR for the living room so she could record them. We thought we could simply switch to East Coast when we were east of the Mississippi but nope, gotta cancel and reup. Dish may be different...Dennis
