Eastern Arc satellites for Winegard DISH Trav'lr???

Some time ago I read something about the existence of eastern satellites that could be used for DISH reception in the event you are blocked from seeing 110, 119 and 129. Any truth to this or am I losing my grip?
If true, it would greatly reduce the times I need to get out the old manual Dish. Thanks for your time!

  • I know I can get them with my Pathway X2 but not with my winegard roadtrip mission.
I think it depends on your dish.
  • Yes. They are at 72, 77, and 61.5 but I'm not sure if that dish will work. I know that the tailgater won't.
  • Yes, Dish uses an eastern arc set of satellites at 61.5, 72.7 and 77 deg. as alternates for the western arc birds. The 77 sat is not needed by most folks. Unfortunately, your Trav'ler is not easily aimed at the eastern arc birds though. I know it can be manually aimed for 61.5, but I'm not sure abut 72.7.
