Easy to Clean Up Computer?

Our old Dell desktop was totally screwed up so I called Dell support. My 5 year support had expired but they offered to clean up the PC for $179. this was after they had run System Mechanic by Iolo but I had remembered seeing it at Walmart for $20 so I told them 'no thanks' and hung up.
I then went to Walmart and bought System Mechanic, installed it, ran it and it cleaned up all kind of crap. Now I run it about every month or so and everything is fine.
