I have use Thundbird for a few years also. The only thing I did not like about it is that it is somewhat complicated to specify where on your HD you store your messages. Not imposable, but complicated.
I like to keep my "C" drive for programs ONLY and my "F" drive for all my data. This makes backing up and restoring from my backup simple for me.
eM Client serves my needs better than Thurdbird.
