email redirect

my main email address for the last brazillion years has been AOL. (AOL haters groan now) and am sick and tired of their recent switch to heavily biased political headlines on their main page. is there a redirect program available that can automatically reroute those from AOL to another email account? I believe that years back I had a email account that I could import my contact list but that is not what I want to do.
thanks,
bumpy

I think both G-mail and Yahoo have the ability to "import" E-mail from other services.

    Try an ad blocker

I'm sorry to say I actually work for AOL sort of. Not happy about it but alas I became a forum moderator back in the Comupuserve Information Service days BEFORE H&R Block sold it to AOL and I still do some stuff there. No pay, but hey.

I can point you to a list of FDA Food and medical recalls.. It's in the cooks online forum on Community.compuserve.com (Welcome and alerts section) and your AOL log in will work.

if you re-direct your AOL address to another address wouldn't the spam just follow? if you're viewing your email using the AOL website you might see if they allow you to develop a set of rules that will filer out the spam (if-then rules). if not and you want to keep AOL consider using an email client such as Outlook (not Outlook Express) or Thunderbird. both allow an unlimited amount of if-then rules to filter and sort e-mail. Outlook (what we use) is $, Thunderbird is free.
  • I gave up on Yahoo! webmail years ago because I couldn't stand the ads.

I still access my account but through Outlook. I access my gmail accounts that way too.

Maybe you could do the same thing with AOL. I hate webmail.
