Your E-mail client is configured wrong. Try using your Mail service's web interface and dump the client off your computer.. Safer that way too since the web interface scans for malware.

I use a Samsung smart phone hotspot when we're on the road and it does exactly the same thing. Forces me to use browser access to send emails which works but isn't as convenient. I'll be watching to see the responses here..

What email client are you using? If outgoing emails are a no go you need to change the your outgoing mail (SMPT) server settings. The SMPT you are using is not accepting your outgoing emails.

If you have a Gmail email address....

Gmail SMTP Settings for Outgoing Mail:

To send mail through Gmail from any email program, enter the following default SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server address information:

Gmail SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.com
Gmail SMTP username: Your full Gmail address (e.g., example@gmail.com)
Gmail SMTP password: Your Gmail password
Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587
Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465
Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes

Either TLS or SSL can be used depending on your email client.

Download the android app, K9 Mail. Install and then set-up. Set-up is straight forward. You can also use Samsung's mail app but it plaes in comparison to K9 Mail. When setting up use the other info I provided here or ask me for help and I will provide it here.

I disagree. Getting email(s) from web based offering is cumbersome. With a smart phone the way to go is to use an app like K9 Mail to send/receive emails. Very easy to set-up and the only way to fly when doing email. Of course, you could just use a GMAIL address and then use the GMAIL app which is a very decent offering.

I forgot to mention earlier to check to see with your current email client (if Verizon)..

Be sure your Verizon outgoing mail server (SMTP) is set up with smtp.verizon.net

Outgoing Server Port Number: 465

Make sure SSL encryption is enabled for the incoming and outgoing mail server.

I have a Verizon JetPack and have no issues using the Spark email client on my MacBok. I have connections to both yahoo mail and gmail.

Do you receive an error message? What does it say?

If you're on a limited data plan, be aware that webmail interfaces use more data than receiving the email directly to your device via an email client.
