Exploding Laptop Batteries

As an RC pilot, we have been aware of the dangers of Lithium in batteries every since they first came out. Currently, there are several different types of lithium batteries in the marketplace, depending on the application. As I not an expert, I cannot give any specs on any, but generally most are much safer than they used to be. The best advice is when using lithium batteries, remember that they are sensitive to excessives, especially heat, either external, or caused by overcharging.
