two questions
what was the display resolution of the win98 machine vga 640*480 or svgs 800*600?
what is the resolution of the new 1280*720, 1366*768 or 1920*1080?
you realize that using the smallest numbers in each set the new display is almosr Four times the area of the old one, so the swf window only uses just over 1/4 of the display
you are lucky it displays at half size and not smaller
you say flash, but flash has become a generic term
original programs from that 'ERA' are swf aka shockwave, not flv - flash video
swf is a programing language,
flv is a video format that allows for embedded links , and comments etc..
Adobe bought swf then added flv 'flash video' format ,then re-badged everything as 'Flash'
some programs have a line of program code that specifies the display size of that swf window
to change this you will have to decompile and edit that program
5 maybe six years ago i was doing quite a bit of that
as I was adapting swf apps and games for use on 'dumb/Feature' phones
replacing a built in currency exchange app or tip calculator
with a game
doing custom wallpaper apps with built in clocks etc.
this was before I switched to smart phones
not sure if there is a 'Player' program that will allow resizing
