FM Ant Snapped Off
My rubber duck FM antenna snapped off. Any good ideas to replace with new better improved method? Tks.

Better is a problem since the only "Better" compatible with the system is longer and that might cause issues with bridges and overpasses. (Why they used the rubber duck)
If you can find a Radio Shack and if there is anythign left, you can get a new rubber duck that will clamp to the stub.
Or a CB rubber duck might work
You could also make a folded dipole but the problem here is I don't knwo the impedance of that duck, likely 35-75 OHm and a folded dipole is 300 Ohm.
(They make transformers, same one used for TV's)
To make a folded dipole you need about 1.5 meters of TV Twin lead. Short the ends, on one side cut it in the exact center, hook the transformer to the cut ends. RG-58 to the radio, you will need an adapter to connect. (PL-259 to RCA)
Lay the twin lead out on a rubber roof in a lazy "S" shape. and use adhesive caulk to hold it in position.
