FMCA offers new Verizon Data Plan

The FMCA hotspot is just like any other Verizon hotspot and will work where ever Verizon has coverage. You must be a member of FMCA to use some of their services, like the tire purchase discounts, towing guides, and now the FMCA hotspot program. You cannot contact Verizon directly, it can only be done through FMCA after they have verified that your membership is paid up for at least 2 years.

You do not need to be a member to participate in the forum, as I was using the forum before I became a member.

I am not on the BOD but I am on the FMCA forum everyday and my membership expired last August. It has also been mentioned on the forum several times, including by the moderator, that you do not need to be a member to join and participate in the forum.

My Verizon data plan is unlimited and slowed down after I use 22 gig during one billing cycle. I signed up today.

You do not need to be an FMCA member to join and post on the FMCA forum. Sign up and post away!
The information you got from Verizon is likely
wrong. I also have the 4 GIG plan with is $50/month. The Verizon "Unlimited" plan is $130(or $160)/month. The number of phones on your account can effect this number. Unless you are claiming that you negotiated Verizon down to this price for a 2 year period then you need to go online to your My Verizon site and you will be able to properly compare plans.
Also keep in mind that the Verizon "unlimited" plan being used with a hotspot is limited to 15GB and the FMCA plan is limited to 25GB.

I'm not a FMCA member so I'm not allowed to post on the FMCA forum. I'll share my experience here.
I'm a Verizon customer and currently have the 4 gig plan. Even with the FMCA Hotspot, most people will continue to need some data to use when not within range of the FMCA Hotspot. I can use my IPhone 7 as a hotspot. I called Verizon and asked how much more it would cost me to have Verizon Unlimited Plan. Answer is $45.96 per month. FMCA plan is not for everyone. Call Verizon and negotiate.

Haven't done any real testing to see how far I can get a signal, but with the MIFI in my coach, I can still connect while in a friend's coach about 75 feet away. If you really want to, it runs on a rechargeable battery so you can just put it in your pocket and you will have WIFI where ever you go.

On a weird note, I signed up for this last night even though it wasn't the best deal as I wanted to replace my Jetpack. I apparently did something wrong as the order got messed up. When I called Verizon, it took them a while to figure out what happened and they said I would have to re-enter everything through FMCA again. But, they would set me up with 2 MIFIs with 15GB each and network management instead of the hard throttling. So now I have 2 MIFIs coming for $40 per month and I get 30GB of high speed data. They waived the equipment charge and the activation fees. Absolutely bizarre, but I'll take it.

Sorry, I don't have this particular device, so I can't test it for you. Even if I could, a lot will depend on your location and the strength of the cellular signal it is picking up.
