Depends on your settings. You will get further distance with the hotspot set to broadcast WiFi at 2.4Ghz but will have a stronger WiFi broadcast (usually faster speeds) with the WiFi set to broadcast at 5Ghz.
If ANY of the devices you are connecting to the hotspot are not capable of 5Ghz communication, you will need to set the hotspot to broadcast at 2.4.
