Free Upgrade to Window's 10?
Got an e-mail from Microsoft saying I can sign up for a free upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. Anybody else got the e-mail? Are you signing up or are you waiting to see how it all shakes out...

The way I understand it Win 10, even if you get it free, is only good for a year. If you want to keep it more than a year then you have to pay again. It's not like previous Windows that you can use it as long as it works.
I have never bought a new version of Windows. My computers have always died before the current Windows became obsolete and would no longer work.
I guess when my computer dies I'll buy a new one with the current version of Windows installed, or maybe I'll try one of the freeware operating systems??? There are a lot of freeware programs out there.
