We've used one for a little over two years, now. It has worked well except for one occasion... In central Texas last year, it turned a 1-hour trip into almost three - and wanted us to drive "off-road" the last few miles to get to our destination. I've since learned to use the Routes function and look closely at how it's going to route us. Since it usually offers several choices, it gives me more control, anyway, and we've not had any more problems. No GPS is 100% fool-proof, though, and - even if you enter the parameters for your rig - you still need to be aware of low bridges and overpasses and double-check your routes.
