You have now created a shortcut on the map screen. It's the 3 bars bottom right hand corner of the map screen. All you have to do in the future is touch the 3 bars, select either Detour by Distance or select Detour by Road. Hope that's what you needed.
I have the 2597LMT.. and does the same thing..
1 time only setup..
if needed call Garmin customer support.. they will walk you thru.. if its different for the 760.
