What is the name of the traffic app ? I will be ordering the RV 760 as soon as we get some place to stop long enough to have it delivered.
Also, where did you order from ?
the app is a garmin android/apple app. called smartphone link. Free app. Install it on the phone and once you get the garmin 760 one of the menu choices is smartphone link. like your phone to the garmin via bluetooth, then on the phone go to smartphone link app and select garmin live services and it will give you a choice of app's you can buy to link to the garmin and you purchase them like any other phone app.
And I ordered the RV760 directly from Garmin. Amazon etc. was selling at the same price as Garmin and figured I'd get it quicker from Garmin. - ktmrfsExplorer II

Mine showed up saturday while we were gone.
First impressions: NICE!!
I tried the voice features. asked for campgrounds, gas stations, rest stations etc. using voice commands, and it hit it on the nose every time. Huge list of topics it will do with voice commands.
setup for the tow rig was super easy, and it lets you do muliple rig setups, which for us is nice since one trailer is 35' the other only about 20'.
sync's with my cell phone and should show traffic etc. from the cell phone on the display, will try that soon.
one of the choices it gives is "no unpaved roads" which in some cases would be nice.
the filter on RV/campgrounds is very extensive for choices you can select
It will get it's first "workout" in a few days.
I am hearing that they left out a BIG RV spec in the profile - that there is no setting for Propane Onboard.
Is this correct?
Initial reports from Garmin was that it was not included but then with the delay to ship, I was hoping that this was added to the firmware before shipping.
For the RV you spec length, width, height, gross weight so seems to me it lets you define most any setup.
correct that it does not let you chose on propane. However, when I got mine and registered it shows there are FW updates, maybe that is in the update. - Bucky_BadgerExplorer

There are 17 updates...most all speech recognition. no propane - _tiredTeacherExplorer II

Many people ordered this unit when Gamin inadvertently posted the employee price as the unit price ($210 I believe) over a weekend.
I don't believe anyone has even seen one much less played with one. I am not sure it's going to be much more than the Dezl 760 rebranded and the truck option removed but it will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.
Agreed. I have seen reports that some of the trucking features have been removed/replaced. It will be good to see what they stripped/added.
I got mine yesterday, took a look at it, and the interface has been updated a little bit from the Dezl, A little more modern feel to it.
One of the best NEW features is on the map screen it actually shows what road you are on at all times at the bottom of the screen at all times. This is my 4th Garmin and I never owned one that did that - _tiredTeacherExplorer III can't get mine to import a map from MapQuest as I routed it. The GPS changes the route (in both Auto and RV mode).
What up wit' dat?
Teach - ktmrfsExplorer IIalso the voice directions are better than my old unit. For example, at one turn it said as I neared the turn.
"turn left of 195th avenue at the stop light just before the US Bank on the left".
Really nice to have info other than just the street name since sometimes that is hard to see well in advance.
also, it will give a bell and then a indicator in the upper right corner for curves, curvy roads, steep downhills or grades and the length of such a grade. Or a warning for a sharp turn up in the corner.
So far like the features well. - CND_SuperCrewExplorer

I'm not familair with the new 760 but what I do is make my routes in Map Source, and save the file as a GPX. Now when your 760 is plugged into your computer, the computer should see it as an external HHD if you go into My Computer. Copy the GPX file and paste into what should be a GPX folder on the GPS. If you have a spot for a memory card and have added one, create a GPX folder there and put the file on the memory card. - fj12ryderExplorer IIIMapQuest or Mapsource, or Basecamp which is the new Mapsource?
- 1775ExplorerNo propane is a deal breaker for me. Too bad. I was really looking forward to this one.
