- johnvbExplorerThanks guys. Unless the 10+ ton figure puts me over some common threshold (like a bridge rating) it probably doesn't matter. Guessing we are a good ton or more under that in actual weight, maybe a trip to the weigh station is in order.

I have a question regarding setting up the RV profile in this GPS. We tow a 30' 5er (rated at 10,175 GVWR), with a F350 (rated at 11,500 GVWR). This gives a total of 10.8 tons. Is this the correct number to input into the settings, even though part of the weight of the RV is seen by the truck?
my understanding from the garmin instructions is the ACTUAL combined weight. for a safety margin you could put in the combined GVWR. or you could just stick with what you expect your maximum actual weight is. - restlesswindExplorer

The 10.8 figure seems correct to me - johnvbExplorerI have a question regarding setting up the RV profile in this GPS. We tow a 30' 5er (rated at 10,175 GVWR), with a F350 (rated at 11,500 GVWR). I just ordered in Garmin RV760 this morning I hope this changes the bad experience I've had with garmin in the past. I had the RVND 5510 and RVND 7710 both of them quit working. the RVND 7710 is less the a year old so I'm calling Rand MCnally and getting it fixed or replaced then selling it. Since I'm having the same problem with the 5510 maybe they will fix or replace that one too it's about a yr and a half old.
I did buy the 3 year repair or replace warranty with this GPS
I had the rvnd 7710 and it was the worse gps I have ever owned.....they should stick to making maps..... - mike54ExplorerI just ordered in Garmin RV760 this morning I hope this changes the bad experience I've had with garmin in the past. - 1775ExplorerNo propane is a deal breaker for me. Too bad. I was really looking forward to this one.

I can't get mine to import a map from MapQuest as I routed it. The GPS changes the route (in both Auto and RV mode).

I'm not familair with the new 760 but what I do is make my routes in Map Source, and save the file as a GPX. Now when your 760 is plugged into your computer, the computer should see it as an external HHD if you go into My Computer. Copy the GPX file and paste into what should be a GPX folder on the GPS. If you have a spot for a memory card and have added one, create a GPX folder there and put the file on the memory card.
