Give Dish heck for dropping Fox News and get a credit

Actually the whole issue of pay tv be it satellite, cable etc, now has my attention. Not sure with the internet and the fact that we just got unlimited fiber optic broadband and can now get Netflix streaming, that we even need pay tv anymore.

True enough. I should have used the term stereotyping, which is assuming things about a specific individual based on appearance, age, etc, something advertisers know well. IMHO same difference.

Fox news is not and never has been a "News" channel. Do a little research on who runs Fox and why. A recent independent study found that well over 50% of every statement on Fox is false (and they know it). The same study found slightly lower numbers for MSNBC but they were close.

Fox is in the business of promoting their (right wing conservative), ideology just like MSNBC does for the left wing liberals. Watch it all you like but if think for a minute that it is "Fair and balanced" you need to stop sleeping with the generator running.

I never once in my post made any claim for Fox, other than it is the number one watched news outlet. Which is 100% true.

Not going to get into an political debate. however. Fox is more down the line that ANY other socalled news outlet in the US. And that includes ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and CNN. When Fox is giving news. They tell it straight. Which is why some think they are right of center. Some are so use to the left wing news, the truth seems right of center. Discerning / thinking, people have learned to tell the difference. Which is why Fox is the number one watched News channel in the US.


As for some of the commentary shows. Yep a few are right of center. Like Hannity. He is right of center.

Have a serious question. Wouldn't the fact that Fox was on the list when you signed the contract, and then was removed. Shouldn't that make the contract void. They broke the contract. You should be free to do what ever you want. Would be the same with any channel I'm thinkin. You made a contract for a certain service, They stopped providing it, End of contract.

I'm in nearly the same boat except I have about 5 months left on my contract. I've sent Dish two emails through FNC and today I will email them directly. I watch other networks as well, but, though I don't agree with all the positions expressed, I think I get the best balance of news and opinions on FNC.

Ahh... Faux News- cognitive dissonance in action.

They could drop Fox and every sports channel and I would be thrilled.
