Does anyone have a recommendation for a good 12v DC TV. I bought a new MH and it has 2 Jensen 12v in it and they are about the sorriest excuse for a HDTV that I have every seen. If you are not sitting directly in front of the TV you can hardly see anything but just some black and a little color. If you stand up you can't see it either, like I say you have to be straight in front of it. I had a Jensen in my past RV and we could view it from almost any angle. The TV in the bedroom is just ok if on one side of the bed but just on the other side you can't even see it. I tried looking at it receiving over the air at first and thought it was just bad so put a DVD in the player and it was just as bad.The front one is a 24" and the rear one is 22"Thanks.

I bought one a couple of yrs ago but can't tell you the brand, memory lapse. I went to an appliance store that had a sale on 2 19" models, choice $99. I looked them over. I asked the salesman if either ran on 12v, he had no idea. I looked to see if they had wall warts. One did then I checked the output voltage, 12v and bought it. It's still working but in truth it's in the bedroom and doesn't get used much.

Go to Best Buy and look at the TV's there. Ask salesman if the one you like the best or fits your budget has an external transformer. You will find lots of brands that are using 12 volts as a power source with a step down inline transformer You then just buy the appropriate cord for less than $10.00.VOila a 12 volt tv. I have 2 in my MH that I did just this.One came from Walmart and is a Sceptre the other is a Best Buy Insigna brand.Make sure you look at the TV from different angles in the store.

My 19" Vizio draws just under 3 Amps on 12 Volts.i use the wall-wart when I have mains powerWhen dry camping, I use a 12Volts power cord from Radio Shack.

Most if not all 110 volt LCD, LED TV's are 12 volt just a difference between external or internal transformer.

All the 12v TV's are junk. Get a good top tier name brand LED LCD TV and use it with an inverter.

For a DVD combo TV I would recommend the Toshiba and for other use the Sony Bravia that comes internet enabled and is very easy to setup and use.

I think you'd be better served with a real 120v TV. I wouldn't sweat cutting the brick off the TV, provided its output is 12v.

We have two insignia TV with wall warts. They run off 12 directly and are fine. Our front is 24" an the rear is 19". I installed a HDMI cable from front to rear with an electronic splitter for the BluRay. No problems since I put the rear TV on an angle. The wall mount didn't allow enough down swivel.

The DW loves the 24" and says it is better than our LG, HD, 32".

I purchased two led tv/ DVD combo units for my rv about 3 years ago from bundle city.com. I got a 24 inch for the front of the rig and a 19 inch for the bedroom. Both units run off of 110 or 12 volts. At 12 volts both only use a max of 4 amps. Have had them for over 3 years and they both work great. I think the brand is supersonic.

RCA makes some 12v TV's. I'd stay away from the "Insignia" brand!

The JensenTV's are supposed to be pretty good. Did you try doing all the adjustments to the picture and the sounds via the MENU?

I went down the 12v road for too long. Nothing but 120v on inverter now, much better selection, much better prices, and very little more amperage. And w/ solar, why the hassle of 12v,..... I mean it ain't like you can eliminate the inverter for the sat rec, DVD and all the other audio/video stuff. I don't get it,....but then, I don't have to.
