I bought one at Costco for $34.99 and it included a moisture meter.
The moisture meter came in handy after a pipe froze and broke in my house in February.
The laser thermometer works well and has given me no problems.
I was going to buy one at HF, but I ran across the Costco deal and felt it was a better choice.
I'm sure most of the laser thermometers are made in the same factory in China and are of similar quality.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy one from HF.
If I was using one professionally, I would look into Fluke or another name brand.
But, for comparing tire/brake, etc. temps. The Harbor Freight unit will do the job at a reasonable price. JMO
