If one program in coming from one satellite and the 2nd program is coming from another this still a moot point. One tuner works, one tuner will not. There is no priority tuner so no way to know which tuner has control over what (watching or recording) and only the primary tuner can actually control the antenna pointing. At best it becomes a cr$pshoot and at worst you get the expected result which is either not being able to watch the selected channel or not having the anticipated program record.
