Just make sure they are the latest specs. When I did mine over a year ago it was 1.4 and you wanted to make sure they supported 3D, CEC and 2-way audio.
I use two, a manual one to switch between DVD and DirecTV and one automatic one to share with two TV's.
I think I've read you can run about 50' without issues. I can vouch for 47'.
