Any suggestions for headphones for the TV/DVD player? Hubby likes to watch movies that I don't want to hear... Thanks!

sam's has an assortment of wireless ones. but it would be cheaper just to buy a set of ear plugs.bumpy

If he likes earbuds, big two thumbs up for the Klipsch S2. They normally retail for around $70 but are often on sale for about $40. The sound was fantastic, I listened to songs and kept thinking, I never realized this instrument was in this song. They also do a decent amount of noise cancellation. The shape unlike most is oval, as is your ear canal which makes them the most comfortable ear buds I have ever used.My soap box on headphones in general though is: don't get sucked into buying Beats or Monster or other trendy brands. They are just that, trendy but their quality generally does not match the steep price tag. Also you do not need $300 headphones to get good quality. From what I have seen, once you hit around the $40-50 range the quality goes way up and from there, there is very little noticeable quality between $50 and $300. Look for a brand that is well known for Hi Fi, not expensive cables or rap music or has a skull on the side.

Sennheiser makes a number of headsets in which the transmitter is connected to the TV and sends a wireless signal to the headset. You just need to choose which type of connection is available with your TV. I have diminished hearing and DW's hearing is very good. This unit has been good for both of us. Hope this helps.

I recently got into some BLUETOOTH speakers and things... Never knew what these can do for you and being wireless... The quality and local footprint range is superb...Might want to look into something along this line...Roy Ken

How about one of these for Bluetooth transmitting and your favorite BT headphones? Or possibly a second of those Anker units as a receiver to any headphones.

Hubby prefers wireless. We do have a USB port on the TV, so are looking for Bluetooth if we can find them. He also wants over the ear. Thanks!

Any $5 to $10 set of ear buds would work. I doubt if he's looking for ultimate high fidelity for basic TV watching snice he'll likely have only a simple headphone jack. Some of the suggestions so far have been maximum overkill for sure....

Two options

Boise noise cancelling ...very very nice, I have the older, larger ones and love them (the smaller ones I do not feel as good) downside is the price.

Or you can go with Blue Tooth or other wireless (BT is best)

But I really really like my Boise noise cancelling headphones.. They are great.
