Here is what I want to accomplish; I want to have satellite television in two rooms (independent of each other) of my RV with as little modifications to the existing coaxial wiring that was installed in the RV by the manufacturer as possible.I have a 5 room DISH system at home with 2 hoppers and 3 joeys. I have a Vuqube flex 2100 that came with my RV. My RV two jacks outside one for SAT and one for Cable.I would like to connect the vq2100 antenna to a DISH vip722k receiver so that I can get different programming on two different TVs and have the benefit of using existing OEM coax cable from the living room to the bedroom and the benefit of having the one IR remote and one UHF remote for the bedroom. I realize that the bedroom TV would not be HD but I'll sacrifice that to be able to use the cable that is already there and to not have to find a place to mount a second receiver in the bedroom. Not to mention two receivers at $7 per month or only one receiver at $7 per month.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -ThanksI just want to be sure this will work before I purchase the vip722

sorry, what kind of RV?I just completed this on my 2013 Keystone alpine, but for Directv. I had a wire from outside to the living room tv location, and the key wire from the living room to the bedroom location.so I was able to get sat to the LR, to a splitter and go back to the bedroom location. orange (outside to inside location)black(coax) and grey (lr to bedroom) are existing wiresred is newit sounds like you have a coax from living room to bedroom also. according to the page for the receiver, it looks like you should be ok, if you have this second wire1 Agile modulated coaxial output to distribute programming to a remote TV location here is my diagram

The vip722 doesn't contain two receiver's as far as I know, so watching two different programs on two different TV's from the same box is not going to work if that is what you are suggesting. I have used some antenna switches and existing cable to use our single sat box in the front to enable both the Living Room TV and Bedroom TV to watch Sat or Ant at the same time, but if on Sat there is only one tuner so they both receive the same channel. I can post the diagram if interested.

Two things about your plan.The Flex description says it is a 'single' coax so I don't think you can use both tuners in the VIP722. Meaning I don't think you can watch differnt shows on 2 TVs with that dome antenna.As I understand it, Dish will only let you add a VIP211 receiver in the RV if you have a Hopper in your home. Best to call and ask before buying the VIP722.This is my experience after having Dish for 10 or more years at home and and about 4 years in the RV.I have had many different receivers. 522, 722, 922 Hoppers and Joeys.

according to the doc for the 722k, there is a 'home distribution' output on the back of the unit, which can distribute signal to other tvs via their cable coax in. these remotes can also control a tuner (second of 2), by using a special UHF remote control. more than 1 tv can be attached to this home distro line, and can watch different things.. by changing the'attenuation' and using splitters.. (see section 12 of the doc here )722k guideI don't know what happens when you have more than one remote tv trying to control the box while you are watching the TV1 signal on HDMI.

The 722 DOES permit watching two separate channels on two separate TVs, one in HD and one in SD. My camper is set up in southern Illinois near cave-in-rock IL. It will definaty be there this year u till November and possibly in that same spot for the next several seasons but I would like the option of using a automatic dish if we decide to pull it somewhere else for a weekend or two.

Do not let anyone install a permanent dish unless by moving every 6 months you mean you move between the same 2 locations twice per year but never anywhere else.
Even if that were the case and one of the locations was, or example, Ohio, but the other was Oregon, you would, again, be toast.

If there's a local sat installer in the area where your camper will be, give the installer a call and see if he can install a permanent dish . . .

. . . let the installer pick the dish. For example, if you're in Ohio, some parts of the state are served by DISH's Western Arc sats (110, 119, 129) and other parts are served by the Eastern Arc sats (61.5, 72,7, 77).

. . . this way the dish will be aligned, stable, and ready to go when you need it.

Get a DPP (Dish Pro Plus) LNB/antenna combo. There are 2 types, 1000.2 (Western Arc) and 1000.4 (Eastern Arc). Most folks will be able to travel nearly anywhere using the 1000.2 but there is a kit that will allow you to change out the arm and LNB so you can switch between the 2. If it were me (and it's not!) I would buy a setup for the 1000.2 and be done with it.
Check out TV4RV for all the necessary equipment.

What type of conventional dish do I have to use to operate fhe vip722k at full functionality. Since my camper is going to stay in one spot all year I'm ok with not using the dome type dish I guess. I plan to go to the camper every weekend I can I i don't want to fool with taking any equipment from the house every time I go. But I would like to eventually get a portable dish that has 2 LNBs so the the vip722k will work correctly. But I can deal with the channel/satellite/DVR conflict if I have to because really that would not be a problem that often. .. I did however order a vip722k from solid signal.com and I'll let you all know how it turns out. Thanks for all the replies and help with my issue.

Taking a Hopper is great option but it limits what antenna type you can use. The Hopper will only work with a full sized home style antenna. Be it a tripod mounted antenna or a Winegard Trav'ler, the Hopper won't work with any other type antenna.

can't answer on the vuqube, but clearly the 722 on a hopper account is a policy thing, not technical.

I can't add a second genie to my account cause I have one, but I was able to add another DVR and (non-genie) receiver.
