The vip722 doesn't contain two receiver's as far as I know, so watching two different programs on two different TV's from the same box is not going to work if that is what you are suggesting.
Sorry, but this is simply not true. All DISH receivers that have a "2" as the second number are dual receivers. Those that have a "1" are single receivers.
I had a 722 in our MH with a Trav'ler antenna. I connected the single coax from the antenna to a "separator" and ran the two outputs of the separator to the two inputs on the 722 dual receiver. I then connected the existing coax (for the front tv) to output 1 of the 722, and connected the existing coax for the rear tv to output 2 (SD) of the 722. Very simple and worked just fine.
However, the DW and I don't particularly like the same programs and since we have two 722s at home, I now bring both in the mh. With our new mh, it is wired for HDMI and fortunately, the Trav'er antenna has two coax's, so I just use one for one receiver (connected just like I mentioned above) and the 2nd from the Trav'ler to the other 722...again connected as above. The 722 also has HDMI along with RCA and RG6 output connections and I used the HDMI for both tv's giving excellent HD.
This configuration allows both tv's to be totally separated from each other and each has the capability to record two programs at the same time. This solved all of our tv disputes and brought peace and prosperity to the homeland.
Our only problem was that the electronic cabinet in our mh is located in the bedroom and the signals from the #1 remote (IR) for the living room would not reach the receiver. I had to buy and install an IR to UHF converter to make it work. Of course the bedroom tv IR remote worked just fine.
Hope this helps
Ron
