I guess what I am wondering is what is the effect of having the vuqube2100 linked to the vip722k.. I'm quite sure that if I were to use a regular dish I would have no problems at all.. But I'm thinking with the vuqube 2100 there would be some conflict at some time due to sharing the one LNB of "eye" between the two tuners
Let's assume that you have a compatible dome antenna (single lnb) and 722 for now.
I assume you know that the antenna switches between satellites depending on what channel you are watching.
So as long as both TVs are watching a channel on the same satellite then fine.
As soon as one of you change to a channel on a different satellite, the other TV loses it's picture.
We did this for a couple years with a Winegard CarryOut and VIP722 in our RV. We got to where we knew what shows are on the same sat. Even with all those channels, we typically only watched about a half dozen regularly.
The most annoying issue is if you have something set to DVR and it's on a different sat than the show you are watching. It either cuts off what you are watching or doesn't DVR your favorite football team. :)
We decided it wasw not worth the trouble and got a VIP211.
The only way around this is to use a satellite dish with dual LNBs.
