That right there says it all, "not my fault".
Sorry about the job situation, however, you still chose to relocate to a new area not serviced by verizon. The fact you chose to leave the area for a job is irrelevant, you signed a contact with VZ based on your situation at that time, now you want out of it through no fault of theirs. They will probably let you out but they have no obligation to.
Lot's of people relocate for for work, I did every few years for almost 30 years in the Air Force. And some were very short notice. Year long deployments, moves, etc are routine for some. I took care of all the contracts, leases, etc.
