How can I tell if I have reception / parked trailer

I am thinking about getting a dish for my permanently parked travel trailer. We are parked in a fairly wooded area. Is there any way I can tell in advance that I can get reception where the trailer ...

More than likely with a ground based dish you can almost always find a place with a clear view.
