OK, that "Component Adapter" cable that came with the TV booklet stuff worked with the old DVD player. We have had this TV for a couple years, it is HDMI, and just bought it to use in the trailer bedroom on trips.
I know I can go buy a new Blue Ray, I already have one in the Living Room at home and don't want to buy more equipment.
I had this extra (non-HDMI plug) DVD player that I just wanted to put in the basement for a couple weeks with the extra trailer TV so I can use the DVD player to watch a training video course for work.
Hate to throw it out...and now it works, didn't have to go buy anything:)
Thanks everyone.
