HDMI PART 2

I discovered that Best Buy carries a product that will replace your HDMI cable with wireless. Basically you get a transmitter that hooks up to your source and a receiver unit that hooks to your TV. Very easy to set up. Don't need to mess with cables. A bit pricey...but worth it. A cable cost me about $75, the wireless system was about $150

$40 for the wireless from Amazon. Doug

    I got mine free.
  • Those wireless units are by Actiontec..I've used them in my coach for years & they work flawlessly on all 3 TV's.
  • I'll never buy ANYTHING from Worst Buy. They are run by idiots...JMHO....Dennis
  • I have one of these - IOGEAR that is just sitting in my garage now...

I used it for watching TV outside and it works great! I now have a Dish Wally out there
  • I have a wireless dongle that allows you to project from a computer. The problem is that it doesn't work very well and constantly drops the connection. I tried to watch a movie, but that didn't work at all. I think it is bluetooth. But, just can't beat a cable.
  • From Amazon you can get a 20' HDMI cable for $18. It can't be that difficult to run a wire. Sometimes in the back of a cabinet there are panels that can be removed or drawers that can be removed to make it easier. Failing that, maybe you can go down, under, and up to the place where you need it.
Most wireless systems that I have seen have issues whti interference from flourescent lights, cell phones, and other wireless items.
