How do I shop at Camping World without getting junk mailed?

If I use my Good Sam discount at Camping World, next thing you know, I get junk mail from Camping World.

I DON'T WANT THE JUNK MAIL! So, I just pay cash and don't show my GS card. But that means I don't get the discount.

So, can you please arrange it so that Camping World doesn't automatically junk mail you when you use your GS discount card?

We don't like paying the forwarding postage from our mailing service to receive the junk mail.

Will never happen - Camping World is owned by GS. All the junk mail from both is the reason I dropped membership in GS, and avoid CW if I can....probably both were once good organizations, until the marketing folks got control. Same reason I signed with CoachNet. Talked to many campground owners this summer, who said that they have seen a huge upsurge in campers that would rather pay the extra than to get back on the GS mailing extravaganza again. Out of 10 different private campgrounds, only one would not give me an alternative discount for belonging to AAA or some other organization besides GS.
I still subscribe to Trailer Life, but at the full price. GS owns them too, but the flood of material seems to not be too bad....

I am not sure why you get the mail as I do not get any mail from GS or CW even when I buy from a CW store or renew my ESP.
If you call them they will stop the mail.

  • you should have at least 3-5 email addresses...one for primary contacts and the others for the "junk" stuff.
just give cw one of those junk email addresses....then on occasion just go into it and delete everything.
  • If you are not using your GS discount at CW you are paying way too much and throwing money away. If you are not going to use your GS discount then don't shop there. Even with the discount you can most often and easily find better prices elsewhere.
  • My forwarding service, MyRVMail, shows me where the mail is from. Two check marks and it is trashed.

Certainly not enough of an inconvenience to stop shopping at CW. Costs me nothing, but maybe one minute of my time.

  • Hello RVtoadless,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I was able to locate your information and request that the mailings be stopped. They should fully cease over the next 4 weeks as those final mailings arrive. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thank you and have a good day!
