Quite often (always?) when MS puts out a new release there's problems. If you can block the updates for a week or two, they've usually then fixed them.
I have a Win7 and a Win10 machine. When updates are due, I use the Win 7 for a week or two and then turn the Win10 if the problems have died down.
I hope my Win7 machines last long enough for them to dump Win10 and move on to something else.
