I solved all of my connections issues with my DELL M90 high end work station laptop by using the DELL DOCKING STATION approach. I have my trailer setup the same as my house with dual screens, printer, sound, keyboard and mouse... Never open the lid up on the laptop...
It sure is neat to just grab the DELL M90 laptop from the house and plop it into the docking station in the trailer and all jumps to life.
The other things I carry with me are several different USB hard drives for the various hobby things we do on trips with photos and my radio operations etc...
I also use the Verizon MIFI for internet connections for the M90 LAPTOP which works great all over the Eastern half of the USA.
About the only difference we see doing it this way is the Internet speed is faster at home... I also have to log into different things to send emails when away from the house but for the most part it isn't much different whether it is at the house or in the trailer.
