How to get Direct to talk to Wineguard, help.

I just tried to take the direct receiver out of my house and hook it up to the Winegard Roadtrip SD.... I made it as far as the error message cant communicate with satellite 775 or something to that effect. What am I doing wrong or it just wont work. I have receiver models h25- 500 and h24-200.

Does that make that receiver a no go?

I believe the 25 Is a SWIM only receiver

The cable from the dish must go directly to the receiver input.
Does the dish have power to the conductors going to it? Can you hear the dish running?
Your receivers are listed compatible to the Roadtrip antenna so it doesn't sound like a compatibility issue. At least the 24 is!Winegard recievers
