How to listen to Audiobooks without a smart phone. UPDATE

I am looking for a better way to listen to my audiobooks. I DO NOT have a smart phone or iphone so a phone application will not work. My requirement. 1. Portable with a rechargeable battery. ...

Have you looked at the kindle fire? It will play audiobooks that are downloaded to it for sure, the other requirements I do not know about.
