I use FreeFileSync for backups to USB flash or drive. Move drive to new computer and one click to reverse copy direction. OK Have to first install the program.
I use it as an incremental backup - it checks all files and updates only new, deleted and changed files. I also leave a backup drive at home and take one in the RV.
And FWIW I have ONE folder for ALL of my data - Err along with many subfolders. So settings up FreeFileSync is trivial, just one folder.
FYI I no longer buy USB 2 anything. USB 3 or USB C.
