How could I check this computer in a day and return it in 1 day while still in the USA?Will USB 3.0 work with USB 2.0 flash devices?My present computer seems to have a really awful sound card.I'm lost. I will tackle the USB3 question. USB3 is backwards compatible so yes it should work. Hope this helps.

What are you doing with the computer? Losing battery capacity tells me the battery is going downhill. If the computer does everything you need while plugged in, a replacement battery might be all you no need. I like to buy a laptop near where I can exchange it. I have bad luck with first out of the box a lot of the time. If it works for a month, it will usually keep working. What programs do you want to run. That will tell you what type of computer viruses to look at. With photography the display can be more important than the processor.

IIRC, there is a Walmart in Ciudad Lázaro Cárdenas.

You might inquire to see if they are selling similar computers, and ask at your currently nearby Walmart if you can return your computer in Mexico if it doesn't work out.
