I pad on Dash
I'm considering mounting an I-pad or similar in my dashboard in order to get at least two displays... a Radar weather map (My Radar Pro) and a continuous google earth display centered on my current position.
I'd like the ability to see if the weather is likely to improve or worsen where we are driving. I'm also envious of my son's new Audi dashboard that has a continuous satellite display.
My Iphone has a wonderful Map ap that displays current position over a satellite display, but I haven't figured out how to maintain the display centered on current position. I also understand that OS 10 will have the ability to transfer an Iphone Ap to a remote video monitor.
Any suggestions for the way ahead?
I should mention that I currently have 7 displays viewable from my drivers seat. A 20" monitor above the windshield with Delorme Street Atlas, 2 GPS units, a 24" virtual rear view mirror (three 7" screens with side and back looking cameras) and original Toad monitor. I find them useful and not distracting.
