I think we'll be cable tv cordcutters - roku tv

as cox is shutting off its analog cable with which our old big analog tv and old analog series 2 tivo have done so well, having no cable card slot on the tivo, we'd be forced into a sub-par cox dvr. ...

You overcome it by not watching current shows. We cut the cord back in 2011 and simply don't watch any cable shows anymore. Recording just network shows fills our watching time. When we travel with our Tailgater we rarely even watch the other channels because we don't miss them.
