ID this plug?

Those fans use a common 1/4" Phone plug (mono) which you can get at Radio Shack and most Music hardware stores.

Also can be found many other places for less money.

I went with the O2Cool fans for about $12ea at Walmart. I bought a couple plugs and wired the other end to two different light fixtures, one in front bedroom one in back. This provides a lot of flexibility (with 10'-ish wires) to hand fans in a few locations to adjust airflow.

This is what is already on the fan. I want to be able to plug it into the existing light fixture that has the 1/4" mono jack.

they currently have cigarette lighter type plugs. he wants to change to plug into existing socket

ALot of the earlier POPUP had these phono plug connection mounted in the ceiling lamps that tapped into 12VDC. You could plug your FAN and LAMP like you have shown into the ceiling light phono socket and then clamp the FAN ASSY to the metal TENT BED top support.




Mine didn't last but a couple of seasons of camping and finally went with the O-2COOL 10-Inch AC/DC/D CELL fan (WALMART-LOWES) which are still working today... Much better fan assy.
