There are two kinds of Indoor/outdoor thermometers.
One of those can also be divided into two types. Liquid and Electronic.
This type has a remote bulb or sensor and a line or wires that connect to the display inside the RV.. They are nice, but you need to route the sensor line and you are lmited as to how much line you have. I might get one to monitor the temps in my wet bay some day since I need drill no holes to get there.
The other is a wireless unit with a battery operated remote.
I used to have three of those, one remote was directly behind the front bumper (Actually attached to the windshield washer bottle on my rig)One under the steps with the battery (now failed, it was failed when I put it there and i rebuilt it twice already) and the other is in the propane bay.
