informed delivery

I am getting this new service from the usps. I think it is pretty darn cool and free.

Each day you get a email early in the morning showing a picture of each piece of mail you are going to get that day. This should also include the mail that is on hold each day. As of right now they limit this to 10 pieces of mail. Also when you go to your mail dashboard you can see any packages that are being shipped and where they are at. (not sure on the exact info on packages) So anyway this is a great service and is free. The way I see it people who go on vacation just might really like this. I like it even when not on vacation because you can see if whats in the mail every morning at the same time.

Just google informed delivery and it will take you there. I have only had it for three days and I think it is way cool.

Seems pretty silly to me. You're going to get your mail anyway, what purpose does it serve to know what is in the mail? Unless you could have them not deliver any bills. :) What, you're not going to go get it if there's something in there you don't like?

You are silly pants. Lets say you go out of town for 2 weeks and you put your mail on hold. I think it would be pretty handy to see what a person received everyday. You are being a killjoy:) JMHO
  • So we put our mail on hold for 2 months every year. They send me an email and when I look at it is see.... oh carp, I didn't know that Bill was coming. I call the place up and pay the bill on line. That might work for some.
  • I suppose some people might be interested in what every member of the household is getting in the mail, but otherwise I too do not see the point. It will be interesting to see how much of the mail the carrier fails to deliver to the correct house. Each week or so I have to re-direct or walk mail over to my neighbors.

    Ya enough of that...
This is pretty cool.I may try it.

I also like UPS My Choice I can track my packages and also manage or re schedule. I get an E mail the day before scheduled delivery.

  • I just checked out the package thing and you CAN also follow your package and get notified of where it is at real time with the scans. You just have to set up your preferences.
