I do these for people all the time...a small hole and into the light fixture. I always buy them with the RF remote so no need to point at the eye. Also I suggest you replace the double stick backing with 3M auto molding dbl stick (1/2" wide) it will not fall off. Be sure to use a solvent to clean off wax and residual mold release
