Installing HP printer

Have no CD for my HP printer - Photosmart C4780

I'm on a 4G hotspot, so pretty fast.

Went to HP site, found drivers, started to download. Time tab says "21 hours" ... and says 65.11MB ...

That sure doesn't sound right to me... 21 hours, for a simple printer?

What should I do to get drivers (or whatever it takes to run printer)
I'm on Toshiba Satellite Laptop, W7 OS ...

Twenty-one hours should get the whole HP site, not just a printer. :)

  • Go to Driver Detective and download the driver. You do not need all the ancillary******on the CD. Just need the driver.
  • Did a quick Google search and found a site that says the driver is 67.55MB. From your post, it seems that your 4G isn't fast at all. Perhaps taking the laptop to a wifi hotspot (Barnes & Noble, McDonalds, etc.) might get you a faster connection.
  • That could be an estimate for a dial-up connection. Some sites still use that to give you an estimate.
