  • My experience having traveled most of the country is that if you depend on internet access for important stuff it is best NOT to depend on Campground WiFi or cell service. If you only need to check mail, browse the web slightly, and can get by if it don’t work then you may be okay. If you’re using Campground WiFi to stream movies then you’re part of the problem. If you’re using Campground WiFi to download large files and OS updates again you’re part of the problem. WiFi routers as well as the internet connections are shared resources with limited services levels.
  • TechWriter,

    Thanks for the lovely report.

I wonder what may happen when the first LEO satellite system goes "hot". I'm hoping it will benefit everyone.

I find campground wifi to mostly be hit and miss. Once campground I was at, it appeared to be rebooting every 10-15 minutes. Talked to the office and they replied "jeff knows what he's doing". I talked to jeff, he was a plumber when he was working... and BTW, the water at my site had extremely low flow too.

Where my park model is at, they were bragging about how they brought in this new high tech wifi, cut down trees, and then when the park usage exceeds some usage level, the entire park is shut down.

    This isn't rocket science people.
