Feature wise, it's pretty much a wash. I don't care what anybody says. Apple has some things droid doesn't and vice versa. But you can't find pretty much anything you want via the app stores.
Pick which ever one feels best to you after playing with them. Nobody can honestly say either one is much better than the other. Stock at least. If you want to root and mod it, then droid is the answer.
I have had many Android phones, starting with the very first one in 2008. I have never once experienced crashing nor any other problems described above. The Android OS has always been a very very stable platform for me.
Both OS systems are very good. Try them both and choose one.
