I have had both Android and Apple phones. I recently switched from the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the iPhone 6 Plus, the major reason being that I already had an Apple ecosystem of accessories that worked with the rest of my Apple products (ipad, MacBook, etc.) I tried the S5 and it was good - the comments about the water resistance, screen and the camera are all valid - but the iPhone 6 Plus has caught up (except for the water resistance.) As crcr said, try both and see which one you like best.
