Not raining on your choice, but did you get a chance to hold one of the Plus cases in your hand? We were in the AT&T store last night and the son was sure he wanted to pre-order the Plus. The rep handed him a case for a Plus so he could see the size and he changed his mind. No phones in stock yet of course, but they had the cases.
It was almost like holding a tablet up to his head. Would not fit in his pocket where he carries his current iPhone. Just say'n.....
Was shown a demo from another make the rep said was the same size as the 6 plus and it fit my hand and my Levi's front pocket.
Seemed a good choice to me.
