AT&T only gives $100 trade in for a IPhone 4S. Also you will be paying $15 to $25 more (depending on data plan) for the next 24 months because you loose the Mobile Share Value discount by buying the phone with contract. One way or another, everyone pays about full price for the phone. You can lessen the blow by choosing a cheaper rate plan, if you can get by with less data.
Ask them to wave your activation fee.
