iRV 66 performance

Question

Hi all,I have found a new in the box iRV66 stereo that I am considering buying. I have read on another forum that the initial units had a software issue that was later fixed. The unit I am looking at was manufactured in 2015. I do not know when these things first came out but I am hoping it was long before the one I am looking at and that it will have the updated software.I am also very interested in knowing how these units are performing and any issues with them. I want to hear both the good and the bad. I read a lot of good reviews on Amazon and Crutchfield but, I would appreciate more real world experiences.

If it was me I would keep looking. It's way too expensive $309 aon Amazon to have almost 30 percent of the reviews as 1 star. True there are only 18 reviews, but it's still a lot of failures.

I would be able to get it for $140. There are likely a lot more than 30 units sold. I think that most people that are happy with a purchase generally don't provide reviews, it is mostly those that get lemons or have other issues who want to let the world know.

The one we had in our 2016 TT had to be replaced twice for problems. The third one had a problem that didn't affect operation so we stopped there. I will say that the company was very supportive and responsive but it was still a pain.
