Boy you got that right. When ever I try to read a news story on my phone you get four lines of type and then a giant ad, then four more lines of type and another giant ad and on and on.
I quit trying to read the news on my phone it's impossible.
And Craigslist? Now they are just as bad leaving it open for tracking.
If I check in here on the RVnet forum. Then I close the tab out and go to Craiglist? I search for lawn mower and get one ad and then 10 more ads for RV's. :R Clear history and STILL get internally posted ads for RV's.:R
Every ad blocker app I look at for my phone includes IT being your new browser. What's with that?
Tips for Android with Firefox
1. Adblock- update it. There are some version combinations that cause it to be disabled, check it regularly
2. No Root Firewall. Block all the junk. Block Google Play, etc. If you need to update, you can always click "stop" in it until the update is over. Even brings functionality back to old tablets
Tracking? "Cloudflare" is 3rd party, think they don't mine?
Gmail? Servers read EVERY EMAIL you send. Years ago they were sued in California over privacy, so they made it automated so just the machines read the emails to insert ads, not a person. Made it better?
Storing your email on servers (ie online)? After 6 months, law enforcement doesn't even need a warrant to get your emails. Still think you have privacy? Not a matter of "do you have something to hide?" rather a warrant is protection for "do you have a valid suspicion and reason for looking?"
